Pulmotest Purpose Designed for estimation of air ways condition when measuring the peak expiration rate (l/min.) «Pulmotest» allows: - to define quickly and objectively patency of airways; - to control patency of airways during a long period of time; - to estimate efficiency of drugs and to select the most effective ones.
«Pulmotest» allows to carry out diagnostics during some minutes by analyzing a maximally quick expiration. This diagnostic parameter is rather popular in medicine and is included in all methods of complex investigation of lungs. Normative values are calculated for patients according to their age, sex and anthropometry data. Using this device you can record the results of measurements every day in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening (or when it is required). By comparing normative and measured values, the physician can make a conclusion about the state of your lungs. Thus, the doctor has an opportunity to watch over patients' health in the period between their visits to polyclinic. Comparison of peak expiration flow rate values (PEF – parameter) accumulated during a complex patient’s investigation and of “Pulmotest” readings allow to recommend certain drugs or to reveal necessity of visiting the doctor. PEF– values should be regularly measured and recorded in the patient’s individual card. If a patient wakes up at night because of asphyxia, it is reasonable to make measurements during this moment. If the patient takes antiasthmatic drugs it is necessary to measure PEF–parameters before and after their taking.. In the period of self-control the patient should pay attention to the recorded diagram.
