Back Osmosis Desalting Units

Purpose:

The device is intended for obtaining drinking water from seawater on ships in open sea. They can be used on stationary coastal objects for obtaining drinking water from sea or underground mineralized water.

Advantages:

Working principle:

Desalting is realized by back osmosis method – salt water is depressed through semipermeable (permeable for molecules of water, but not for molecules of salt) hollow fiber wall. Desalted water is exported to consumer and entrapped salt from fiber surface with part of source water goes to drainage.

For this process source water is purified from mechanical admixtures with size bigger than 5 micron, is adjusted by its chemical composition and is treated with UV-rays for bacteria destruction.

The most perfect hollow fiber is used in units.
